On 20 September, the Latvian bagpipe and drum band Auli arrived in Beijing to participate in events at the Latvian Culture Days in China being organised by the Latvian Embassy in the People's Republic of China.

On 22 September, Auli together with Mezciems Primary School pupils, who are also currently visiting Beijing, will introduce their fellowship partners - the Hongzhi Middle School in Beijing - to Latvian music, traditions, and games. On 23 September, in turn, Auli will give a concert at the popular concert hall The Star Live offering the wider Beijing public a taste of contemporary traditional Latvian music.  

The Auli visit to Beijing takes place with financial support of the Latvian Foreign Ministry, the Latvian Embassy in China, Eriks Teilans - a Latvian private sponsor and the Chinese telecommunications company ZTE.
